I have other characters that still have BOL but newly made character has no Blessing of Light available to buy in XShop... Why?

Nightmare event, I was waiting at the entrance, event starts and I immediately enter. A DL was already inside, I would have seen him enter if he'd gotten in through the Relic entrance.

How would a player be able to enter an event before it is open to other players?
